Multifunctional power cable laying vessel put into use

Recently, a multi-functional power cable laying ship designed by Zhejiang Xinhai Ship Design Institute and Zhejiang Kailing Shipyard was officially delivered to Zhoushan Power Company and put into use. The ship has a comprehensive construction capacity, advanced equipment, set the sea cable laying, salvage, buried in a whole, of which many of the technology is a domestic initiative.

With the development of the marine economy, electricity and communications are essential safeguards in the development of coastal islands. From the current stage, laying the cable on the seabed is the most economical and feasible method. At present, the development speed of the submarine cable is getting faster and faster, the construction precision requirements are getting higher and higher, and the application range is becoming wider and wider. The demand for this area in China's coastal areas is particularly urgent. However, there are still no professional submarine vessels built independently in China, and there is no deep-buried treatment facility, which is difficult to meet the needs of modern engineering.

It is understood that the first ship "Zhoudian 7", 75 meters long, 3.5 meters draft, full load displacement of 2989.3 tons, the cable can be installed up to 30 kilometers. At present, this cable-cable ship project has been listed as a major scientific and technological plan project in Zhejiang Province and successfully passed the acceptance of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology. According to the project assessment, with the current domestic market demand, after the industrialization is realized, the output value can reach 177 million yuan and the tax revenue can reach about 11.55 million yuan. At the same time, driving the economic development of islands will enable the island's agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, fishing and tourism economy to grow by about 20%.
